We decided to visit this cafe after reading it on Food Sirens as it fulfilled 2 of our criteria of a MUST-VISIT CAFE. Firstly, it is unique as it serves something normally considered a dessert in the form of a main dish (waffles, in this case). Also, it is one of those cutesy, quaint little cafes that have been popping up all over Singapore lately. Thus, we put our mind to visit this cafe soon in order to try their variety of savoury and sweet waffles for ourselves!

Upon stepping into the cafe, we were struck by how adorable the entire cafe is! With picture frames and polaroids hanging from the walls, as well as lovely shelves adorned with figurines, it exuded a cosy and snug feel that was obviously welcome to all dining there. The clink of cutlery was the loudest sound that could be heard as diners tucked into the food and enjoyed some quiet conversation with each other. Eager to tuck into a yummy meal, we decided on our dishes as quickly as possible! While we had initially had planned on trying out their savoury waffles, we instead decided to leave the waffles for dessert and choose other dishes as our main meal.

The delicious chocolate drink 
Iced Chocolate ($4.50): Green and Black’s Organic Chocolate Drink with frothed fresh milk, served with ice. While a cold drink is never the best choice on a cold rainy day (like the day we visited this cafe), we still enjoyed this drink immensely! It was not overly sweet like some of the chocolate drinks you find in other eateries, as dark cocoa was used to make it. Also, the milk was a welcome addition as it gave the drink a smooth and silky texture.

Royal’s Eggs ($14.90): Poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon, roasted tomato, mixed greens and English Muffins. I have always had faith in the combination of poached eggs and smoked salmon, as the choice has never failed me (SO FAR). This dish did not prove me wrong (fortunately) as the flavours balanced out well enough, with the toasted english muffins providing a sturdy and crisp base to balance the stacks of salmon, greens, and egg that I insisted on piling on top of each other. The only complain that I have is that the smoked salmon was a tad bit too salty 
otherwise, the dish was a good one, albeit not exceptional or extraordinary.

Scrambling Eggs ($14.90): Scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, roasted tomato, mixed greens and toast. The main difference between this dish and the one above is that it has scrambled eggs instead of poached ones, and toast instead of an english muffin. The scrambled eggs were particularly enjoyable, being fluffy and melt-in-your-mouth-ish at the same time, like how well scrambled eggs should be!
